Ruvimbo Katiyo has over four years of experience in the beauty and fashion industry. She is a former Miss Zimbabwe 2nd runner-up, and represented Zimbabwe at the 2012 Miss Tourism World pageant in Thailand. She created Hair and Beauty Hub, a platform that connects brands and consumers in the ethnic hair and cosmetic space. She has conducted workshops in major cities in Zimbabwe doing product awareness and educating consumers on proper haircare. Ruvimbo spearheaded the production of the Zimbabwe Hair Show, the first-ever Zimbabwean television show focusing on ethnic hairstyles. She holds a BA Chemistry from Berea College, Kentucky, USA, and is currently pursuing an MSc in Supply Chain Engineering and Management at Jacobs University, Germany. She hopes to capitalize on her experience in Europe and as a Mandela Washington Fellow by venturing into the manufacture cosmetic and hair products.
